ABOUT US

ABOUT SHE

SHE-Service for Health and Environment is a registered woman-led organization in Bangladesh (DYD-15411, RJSC-Received Name Clearance). SHE was founded in Kurigram District on 16th March, 2023 as a community-based organization (CBO) and intended to work all over Bangladesh. SHE has started to work for the marginalized & vulnerable people to climate change, natural disasters, natural hazards and extreme weather for the well-being of their health and livelihood in a cross-cutting approach. SHE aims to work for unserved and underserved locations, nurturing a community-focused participatory approach to promote people's ownership.

Our Mission and Vision

To identify the needs of marginalized women, adolescents, children, elderly, third gender in the society and accordingly help them to ensure their access to the services through the participation of men.

In this continuum, reducing the health risks of marginalized populations and building environmental climate resilience community through the participation and empowerment of women, youth and adolescents in the decision-making process.

SHE has more than 20 local volunteers actively participating in implementing activities, raising awareness, and knowledge dissemination.

Identifying Vulnerable Locations

SHE identifies participants and geographical areas vulnerable to climate change and natural disasters to provide necessary support.

Supporting Underprivileged Communities

SHE serves people affected by climate change, conducts health camps, distributes blankets, and promotes awareness about health risks.
